SURVEYING & MANAGEMENT FOR WILDLIFE CONSERVATION & HABITAT PROTECTION

 

MITIGATION & TRANSLOCATION, IN THEORY & IN PRACTICE

 

MINK ECOLOGY, SURVEYING, TRAPPING and LEGISLATION.

 

A two-day course aimed at environmental professionals and estate managers and others who are interested.

 

This on-site course encompasses: 

  • The theory and practice of Water Vole / Mink survey and monitoring work for conservation and habitat protection.  

 

  • The theory and practice of Water Vole mitigation and translocation work.

 

 

  • Candidates will also be shown how to use humane water vole traps, re-settlement enclosures, feeding stations and terriorial establishment techniques.

 

  • Mink ecology and behaviour.

 

  • Mink population monitoring and trapping methods. 

 

  • Legislation.
